Like most professional footballers, Jack Grealish changes his shin guards (also known as shin pads) regularly. As a Nike athlete, he most likely wears Nike shin Guards, but we do know he has also had customer made shin guards produced by Pro I.D Ltd.
In 2021, Jack Grealish posted to his Instagram account a thank you message to Pro I.D Ltd, a brand that produces bespoke shin guards upon request. Aside from Jack Grealish, they have also worked with 16 year old Lennon Miller of Motherwell FC and Aiden O’Brien of Shrewsbury Town.
Jack Grealish Socks and Shinpads
Jack Grealish is known to football fans all over the world for his close control and massive calf muscles which are even more obvious thanks to his unique ‘low socks’ style.
As per the image below, he wears such small shin guards, in order to allow his socks to stay low, something which he himself attributes to a good game he had after a pair of socks “shrunk in the wash”!
Since then, he has decided to keep his socks low, as a superstition.
From Grealish to George...
While he is unusual in this respect, he is by no means alone, famous legends of the game, Socrates of Brazil and George Best of Northern Ireland also wore their socks really low.
If you are looking to follow in Jack Greaslish’s style, then you need a pair of child shin guards, which you can find them here.
If it helps you play with freedom, then go for it!
